Living on the edge

Deze foto stond nog op de iphone van Remco, leuk is-ie he?
Eigenlijk vond Remco het niet zo leuk dat ik me zo dicht bij de rand waagde maarja, "I like living on the edge!" hahaha!!!

Beary important

Ever since we came across our very first bear - during our Canada trip - we have been fascinated by this amazing creature. In the last few years we saw a lot of black bears but never saw a Grizzly bear. That's why a trip to Alaska or the Yukon where a lot of Grizzly's live is high on our list.

Unfortunately bears are endangered species. Often they are described as ferocious animals who hunt human for pleasure. Of course this is not true. In huge parts of the US and nearly all over Canada you can find signs that tell you: A FED BEAR IS A DEAD BEAR.

Can you believe it? There are still human beings that are trying to feed bears! When bears get used to getting food, they will invade human territory and eventually will get shot by the Government because "they are a threat to mankind"

This has to stop !
Bears belong in nature, they should feed on berries and small creatures.

Don't feed bears. Be carefull. Store your food in the right way.
Let bears live, they are amazing creatures.

And remember : you are invading THEIR territory!
